Polish artist, Raphael Alexandre Lustchevsky, made his international debut at the age of 16 with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra in Japan. Within 20 years of his extensive artistic carreer toured the North and South America, Australia, The Middle East, Asia, South Africa and nearly all countries of Europe gathering the highest acclaim from the audience and music critics.

Since 2003, listed as a Steinway Artist on the “Steinway&Sons Artists’ Roster” in New York.
Also known as a Montblanc Artist, for his recording of the Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.1 with Philharmonia of the Nations Orchestra in Hamburg, exclusively for the Montblanc Meisterstück on the 150th anniversary of F.Chopin’s death.

Lustchevsky’s performances were held at many prestigious concert-halls around the world, including the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, Warsaw National Philharmonic, “KKL” in Lucerne, Palau da Musica in Barcelona, Victoria Concert Hall in Singapore, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Sala Cecilia Meirelles in Rio de Janeiro, Salon Dorado in Buenos Aires, Verbruggen Hall in Sydney and many others.

In his performing carreer maestro Lustchevsky participated in some renowned international music festivals, i.e. Lucerne Festival in Switzerland, Schleswig-Holstein and Oranienstein Festwochen in Germany, Nice Summer in France, Chopin Festival and Mozart Festival Warsaw in Poland, Lipatti Festival in Romania, Sarayevo Winter in Bosnia, Droebak Summer Festival in Norway, l’Octobre Musicale in Tunisia, Festival Cervantino in Mexico, Palm Beach Festival in USA, Festival Int. de Londrina in Brazil, Chopiniana in Argentina, as well as in Spain, England, Malaysia, The Netherlands and others.

Lustchevsky completed his music studies with the greatest authorities and legendary piano virtuosos, prof. Andrzej Jasinski, Maestro Lazar Berman and Maestro Alexis Weissenberg. Received his Master’s Degree in Performing Arts at the “Szymanowski” Academy of Music in Katowice/Poland. Pursued his musical training at the International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola/Italy and completed postgraduate studies (Konzertexamen) at Hochschule für Musik “Franz Liszt” in Weimar/Germany (Doctorate Level Diploma in 2001).

The artistry of Raphael Alexandre Lustchevsky has been crowned with the highest prizes at the international piano competitions, such as: “Clara Schumann” in Germany, “Maria Canals” in Spain, “Luis Sigall” in Chile. At the UNESCO-International Piano Competition “Dinu Lipatti” in Romania he was awarded with the Grand Prix -1st prize. His artistic activity and merits have also been recognized with several special distinctions, by the Ministry of Culture and Arts of the Republic of Poland, Fryderyk Chopin Society in Warsaw, The President of Romania, The Board of the City of Rio de Janeiro, International Chopin Festival in Poland and others.

As an active recording artist, Maestro Lustchevsky made music recordings for Polish Radio, Swiss Classical Radio (DRS2), Australian Broadcast Corp. in Australia, National Public Radio in USA, Radio Slovenia to name just a few.

Maestro Lustchevsky has wide-ranging interests in music. His diverse piano-concerto-repertoire features 30 works from the period of Bach to contemporary, representing widely the Romanticism. He also performs modern Polish concertos, such as dedicated to him Concerto for Piano and Orchestra by Krzesimir Debski (1997).

His artistic path has been marked with appearances with some important orchestras,
– in Europe: Festival Strings Lucerne, Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Krakow Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Weimar, Philharmonie der Nationen Hamburg, National Radio Symphony of Slovakia, National Radio Symphony of Romania

– South Africa: Johannesburg Philharmonic
– South America: Filarmónica Nacional in Montevideo, Sinfonica de Chile, Sinfonica de Porto Alegre, Sinfonica Nacional de Costa Rica

and many others.

Such distinguished conductors as H.Iwaki, G.Zimmermann, S.Wright, J.Frantz, A.Fiedler, P.Baleff, A.Boreyko, H.Andreescu, W.Michniewski, M.Pijarowski, O.Zverev, M.Pitrenas, C.Komatsu, K.Kawamoto are among the artists he collaborated with.

Hailed as one of the finest pianists of his generation, Maestro Lustchevsky has become Guest Professor and Lecturer at workshops, master courses and international music festivals in Poland and abroad, incl. Edinburgh, Sydney, Brisbane, Lima, Panama-City, Montevideo, Londrina (Brazil), Algiers, Damascus, New Delhi, Bangkok and has been appointed an Honorary Professor at the National University of Costa Rica.

In 2011, he created and launched an International “F.Chopin” Piano Competition for South America in Lima, Peru becoming its President and jury member.
